My Krispy Kreme Experience!
Dear Diary, On 30th of June 2006, I had my first Krispy Kreme. :p
Boy, was it good.
I'd never seen a line that long for donuts before.
But backtracking, the delectable delicious yummy evasive Krispy Kremes could only be found in Fountaingate..which is fricken..not even in melbourne.
A minor thing that scared me : A sign to Phillip Island on the freeway.
A major thing that REALLY scared me : Looking out the window and seeing mountains in the distance.
like.. OMG are we still in melbourne :p
lol.. turns out we weren't at ALL... bloody.. fountaingate.. is out of melbourne. yesss, that's how sad and crazy the donut expeditioners were.
okay.. well we got there.. and queued for 45 mins looking through the line that snaked many many rounds outside the shop, wondering why on earth was krispy kreme so darned famous. smug lil gloating kids ahead of us in the line were smirking at us in much glee. it was agonising i tell you.
as soon as we got inside the shop (which was about 25 mins into the 45 min wait,) the smell hit us. ohhh the smell ._. there's no way i can describe it. but nowhere near as good as the actual taste of the donut itself.
finally we got near the windows. they were churning out donuts like it's armageddon tomorrow. it reminded me of charlie and the chocolate factory, only this was like donut factory. cool! :D so exciting i tell you. the prospect of those donuts swimming in my digestive juices soon :D hehehehe.
what busy little workers they are, scurrying round in their krispy kreme hats.
oooh i can just feel them in my tummy.
FINALLY.. the box of donuts after.. how long? i clutched them to me possessively. and grinned smugly at the line of wistful queuers. :D i almost waved them at them and shouted 'HA!'
Donuts of assorted varieties. I felt like a rich kid at christmas when he opens his presents.
