my eyes are watering excessively from irritation again. these days for some reason, with or without contacts on, my eyes are always watering from some incessant irritation. it is very annoying. annoy me now and i will give you my best squinty-eyed glare which i assure you is very menacing.
i woke up this morning and went to church happily with my orange havianas (: yes i know, i can't get enough of them. they are very pretty ^^
after church everyone else went badminton and blah blah, and i, being the recluse i am these days from church people, instead went to eunice's house. originally we'd intended to go to isaac's house, but decided not to in the end. i confess my ulterior motive was to see the cat :p i like cats very much. especially for ankita : do you remember how i used to play with tommy under the block and you would shriek horribly if i came near you with my cat-ish hands?:p teehee. i'm cat deprived. people here don't seem to own cats. except isaac.
then we went to eunices house where we had food. lots and lots of it. i won't comment on isaac's driving since he might read this anyway :p to sum it up, caris says she's decided praying is a good idea everytime she gets into isaac's car. i can't be stuffed with the photos at the moment coz my eyes itch. :p sorry isaac. you took the photos in vain.
we watched million dollar baby. it was one of those agonizingly depressing shows that you have to admit wouldn't have been as good had not for the death of someone important :p it was about this girl who came from one of those poverty-stricken backgrounds (everyone thinks americans are filthy rich but it's not true) because there is quite a percentage of americans who live in trailer parks and are deprived of education. anyway, this girl had a dream to box. :p only she was very old and not in very good shape either. eventually this trainer with a guilt complex took her on and they began their long and ardous training for a title competition. :p where of course, as with all people who spend lots of time together, they developed a bond. so just before a major success, she's in the ring and crazily boxing away and she takes this other lady out. this lady (being the dirty ex-prostitute schemist) gets up and has a go at her while her back is turned, resulting in her as a paraplegic, putting an end to the road of her dreams. she's incurable, and she develops bed sores from not being able to move. she breathes through a respirator. soon her leg rots and has to be amputated - and yep, you guessed it, she begs her trainer to kill her. pretty sad, but i can totally understand. if i were to be paraplegic someday, definitely pull the plug. being barely alive, sustained by endless medical machines, isn't really life anyway. i'm sure everyone here is in general agreement, that to be trapped in a body that doesn't move is worse torture than death. not that, i hope, i would ever be in that situation.
commonwealth games in melbourne is stirring up a buzz. everyone here is rather patriotic. :p seems like australia's leading so far. australia owns in swimming, and i haven't even seen singapore anywhere yet. *looks around* yes, i'm singaporean. unfortunately i think i'll swap loyalties and root for australia since they are much more likely to win anyway :p
i've been trying to call kareena =x anyone know her mobile number?
