10 things i hate about you summer 1) it's impossible to cross your legs in summer. about five seconds into crossing your legs, you begin to feel that crossing your legs becomes rather hard because it's very slippery due to sweat.
2) when you stand up, you feel that it's actually cooling because the back of your (my) knees are sweating.
3) when you walk into a class and pull out a chair, you see a present from the previous owner - sweat marks of thighs.
4) horrible things you see : mr yu striding out of class with a wet spot smack in the middle of his chest. tina and i witnessed this horrible event about 3m in front of us. i swear his boobs were sweating.
5) okay, the smell of the corridor in between classes. the human crush and everyone smells like shit. i know i used to complain about lahiru's excessive use of lynx, but
hello?! whatever happened to all the lynx freaks?! the corridor smells about as lovely as cow dung. not that sweat = cow dung because sweat has its own peculiar disgusting stench and it seems Eau De Sweat has become the preferred fragrance of the week. where is lynx when you need it??
6) this is to do with manoeveuring in the corridors again. squeezing past a throng of people and sort of getting smeared by their arm-sweat on the way is not pleasant at all.
7) fat ugly flies that annoy the shit out of you. to top it off, since they're so stupid and slow, they can never get the message when you want them to buzz off. literally. it's so easy to kill flies - which leads me to another annoyance. fly corpses. let's not go there.
8) more ugly sights in summer : people lifting up their arms to flash a big wet spot on their clothing. eeew.
9) everything is fried in summer. including my hair. i blame the weather for its excessive frizziness. i have
not had a good hair day in ages.
10) the sudden onslaught of ice-cream addictions. summer without ice-cream - i don't think i would survive. trouble is, i don't think my body's displaying a positive response to all that extra frozen fats i'm consuming.
conclusion: 4 days to autumn and counting.
